I'm picking up Killzone 2 first myself. Most of my buddies are getting it on launch as well.
I'll probably get SF4 in mid-march.
I wish i did have a gaming PC. But i don't so no awesome version of TF2 for me. I'm stuck blowing people up as Demoman on consoles. And occasionally stabbing them in the back.
Big Boss had the eyepatch. And that was in MGS3. Snake gained the eyepatch (which is really more like a scouter) in MGS4.
Yes! Please put in naruto i'm begging you it's just what SF4 needs! Not parries it needs Naruto.
Seriously though i would have loved to see at least 1 SF3 character make the cut. A young Dudley or Urien. Hell i probably would have settled with Oro for namesake alone.
The Deer Hunter. I need to watch that movie.
Define your meaning of "failure". If the game scores under 90 percent average but over 80 percent and sales a million copies is it a failure? If it averages over 90 but doesn't sell over a million copies is it a failure? If it scores lower than 90 but sales over a million copies is it a failure?
Just something i'm interested in. What some people deem a "failure".
I notice that Street Fighter 4 is nowhere on your list.
I have CoD4 and it doesn't look THAT great. I also have a 720p video of Killzone 2 on my Ps3. Take a guess at which one looks better.
Hint: The number at the end of which one looks better is less than 4.
I have to say i laughed my ass off when i read your comment.
Love the reverse psychology in which this article was written.
I'm a bad gamer as well.
Oh come on no love for Owen? Seriously my (new) favorite Kotaku writer pretty much ever since he arrived.
1up yours will be missed. But 1up turbo HD remix sounds like a good name for the new podcast show.
Doubt it would stay exclusive. It's one of the 4 games (Alan Wake, NG2, Splinter Cell: COnvictions) that i want a 360 for. Having Mass Effect come to the Ps3 would be a huge relief for me. I don't really have the additional funds to get a 360 at this time.
Fun to read but a lack of professionalism. Got to say i got a few kicks out of it though.
I laughed at the readers choice pick for best "sports game" being Wii Fit. Besides that. I can't complain much about which games won. Both MGS4 and GTA4 had great voice acting. Pretty much a toss up to say which one was better in my opinion.
I've seen similar pictures/videos of what you posted (love the explosions effects from what i've seen). But like i said when i look at Crysis, art wise. It just looks... Bland. Not in a "this is boring me to death" way. But more of a "Well this is it?". Like i said Crysis is better looking technically. Sharper, MUCH more photorealistic etc. But it just doesn't capture me. It looks good NO DOUBTS, but it just doesn't have enough art direction to really grab me.
As for what i think looks better. Crysis is technically a better looking game. Very realistic in depictions. But damnit it lacks "soul". It just looks so... Plain. Not enough of art direction. But i do LOVE how those badass suits look.
Killzone 2 has more style going for it. How the guns look in each game are EXTREMELY impressive and the details are amazing. I prefer the dink, dark, gritty environment in Killzone 2 compared to the pretty pedestrian environments in Crys...
Those are bad screenshots for both games in my opinion. You're better off watching the HD vids for both games and comparing for yourself. Because those screenshots doesn't do the games much justice.
Salutations sir.
I was going to check out the GiantBomb podcast next because i enjoyed when the GB guys were guests on the holiday special of 1up Yours. I'll check out Eat-Sleep-Game as well.
Mooch off a friend who has a ps3. "Convince" them to buy it. Worked for me back in the day.
